POSSC's functions include transactional processing and oversight for various aspects of an employee's pay lifecycle. The key payroll items and related processes managed through POSSC include:

  • Pay Rate Changes
  • Additional Compensation changes (e.g., stipends, special payments)
  • Salary Cost Transfer (SCT) transactions (reassignment of payroll expenses to different funding sources)
  • Full Accounting Unit (FAU) management for payroll expenses (updating funding distributions)
